Russia, inverno 1942. Italiani brava gente. Peppino. Mescewaja, 7 febbraio 1942.

Beautiful these old documents that also tell of "serene" moments
In a terrible context, of war and of pain.
Compliments! Sergio ;-) :-P

Thanks Sergio,
At a distance of years I rediscovered with emotion a very special moment of my father's life and I considered that old print a precious object.

Gorgeous.
If you have not, I suggest you read one of the most extraordinary books written on the subject. "The sergeant in the snow"
By Mario Rigoni Stern.

Thank you Raffaele for your appreciation.
I have read the book that you have indicated and also all those written by Giulio Bedeschi, Piero Fortuna, Raffaello Uboldi and others. These books should not be regarded as simple readings of distant facts but story records that should be read and commented in schools to teach ... to teach that sometimes the story unfortunately can be repeated.
A greeting
