C'è una linea oltre la quale i larici non trovano la minima possibilità di vivere. La montagna si erge con l'altitudine e manca la terra o la si trova in una parte ridottissima. C'è solo la roccia dura e scoscesa; il vento forte delle montagne, il gelo, la neve, le possibili frane. Ecco, io ho sempre guardato all'ultima linea dei larici, quella linea che si trova prima del nulla. Quella linea dove lo spazio si apre affascinante e vertiginoso. Io la chiamo la linea dei coraggiosi. La guardo sempre con ammirazione.
