Pros: auto focus system, ergonomics, built quality, viewfinder, 10 fps, huge buffer.

Cons: no built in flash, no U1, U2 setting modes

Opinion: Shooting fast moving action is real fun with this camera. It is ergonomic and normally you will not miss the momment. High ISO capability helps a lot when the light is not enough, and I could say that I miss built in flash only in very specific situations. I had the D7100 which was fine but D500 is something else.. way better ... addiction!!!. I suppose that I will keep it for a long time. (shooting is just a hobby for me, I am not a pro) .

Pros: > 10 frames per second > Very deep buffer > Deep sinus in grip for fingertips...deeper than other Nikon DSLR's I have used.> The D500 and D5 have the best Autofocus among all DSLR's

Cons: 1. Omission of pop-up flash (big mistake Nikon). there are photographers who are not buying this camera because of the omission of the pop up flash.2. Should have made ENTIRE body of magnesium alloy

Opinion: Nikon needs to re-design the circular connection for the right angle finder so that it is not necessary to screw it onto the body. This is a very tedious process. It needs to be redesigned. The tiltable LCD is a wonderful addition. But in certain background colors, I often do have problems seeing the single focusing square in the center of the LCD. You overlooked that fact that there are people with color vision deficiencies that have trouble with those wavelengths. Perhaps it should have been blue. Nikon....do not even think about omitting the right angle finders. I favor the right angle finder over the LCD in many situations. Robert King :)

Pros: AF, 10fps, Image quality, High ISO & more.

Cons: Nothing really.

Opinion: I bought this camera as a replacement of my D7000.I do bird photography mostly and this camera just rocks!AF speed and accuracy is amazing, specially when combined with pro lenses.I shoot and follow swifts in air with this thing.Group area AF is excellent. Then you got 10 fps, bursts forever, never wait for the camera buffer, just shoot and shoot (if you need to in the moment). Then image quality, great colors and metering, excellent recovery of highlights and shadows in RAW.High ISO is also very, very good for a DX camera. And more - joystick for selecting AF points works like a charm, you got ISO button on the right side, everything is controlled with one hand, finally!Plus you got video, swivel screen, superb resolution on the lcd screen, backlit buttons and more and more.I know I sound like I work for Nikon, but no - the camera is just this good!

Pros: AF, Gust, external and backlit controls, buffer, Body Robustness, menu.

Cons: Support of updates from the parent company, "playful" bayonet attack, unepped touch screen, AF in Live View panic, price

Opinion: Fantastic machine in the aspect of technical features, intended for a very sporty lens and for photo hunting... From the best of itself with lenses equal to or greater than the 300mm f2.8 nikon, at the bottom staying at home the game is not worth the candle very often even with third-party lenses. Its main strengths are AF, XQD, Buffer and dynamic range.

Pros: Autofocus, operational speed, iso seal, pro body.

Cons: It's addictive.

Opinion: The use for 2 years after waiting for years the heir of the D300 have finally marketed the D500 and I can say that at least the long wait was not disappointing indeed this in proportion is higher than the D300 when you go out . In the meantime I took all the NIKon FF and a couple of ML apsc from other brands. It's a full-fledged mini D5, with the advantage of lightening the set at least for me. As soon as you pick it up you immediately feel that there is so much substance compared the D610/D750 look and are more fragile. The D500 is bigger than the aforementioned, it is the same size as the 8xx series is just a little lower and as ergonomics is the one that I find better even than the D850. The quickness to shoot the first few times leaves you dismayed you literally run away the photos without wanting to, in my opinion it is also faster than the D850 that even she does not joke at all. For the rest nothing to say Nikon did a really good job holding iso, very good white balance. Probably before Nikon replaces her with an ML, I'm going to take another one. Rating 10
