Pros: Body balance, natural colors, pure white, unparalleled sensor.

Cons: focus on side points, auto/man iso modification. only from menus.

Opinion: D700 ... a real bomb. Amazing how you can shoot without accidental hand movements, it seems to snap by itself, heavy right, external controls in the right place, all very comfortable. Very recommended for outdoor portraits without flash where I notice a fidelity of colors never seen (like the D3) but also in the studio, maybe with the right light makes a lot on all fronts. An unmistakable reflex and unique for use and yield. The light doesn't let her in, it gets this sensor out!

Pros: Excellent reflex, Icon and school leader produced by Nikon.

Cons: Today we can only refer to the only 12 megapixels

Opinion: Sold but a week later, repented, I bought it back and combination wants that I found, from the shopkeeper to whom I had sold it, exactly my 11,000 shots The limited resurgence at 12 MGP although in the cons, should not be considered as negative data since if At the time of the shot we compose the photo correctly, then you do not need any consistent cropping and the image that we will have is perfectly enjoyable. Key management and menus' great as well as the speed of focus, colors. ISO held at "human" values 1600, absolutely usable. If you don't sell it, and if you haven't, you're looking for it. An acquaintance with a photo studio came in at 890,000 shots, replacing only the battery. Of course he uses it with the proper attention Greetings and...... good hunting

Pros: Machine body, image quality, battery life, iso

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I was lucky enough to own two. The machine body is sturdy and well balanced once in hand. Excellent command arrangement. Bright and wide viewfinder. It allows you to compose very well. I noticed compared to other cameras I owned, including D3x, D800E, D60, D7000, D610, an unparalleled balance between sensor and software. In other words, the D700 is the most balanced machine ever produced by Nikon (obviously compared by me to the aforementioned) for its incredible ability to shoot in all conditions and to take home ALWAYS the shot sought. Whether it's in nature, sports, landscape, night, still life, portrait, study, street or black and white. Moreover, for the aforementioned capabilities of this DSRL, I find both the machine and more than any other has the ability to enhance the merits or defects of the optics that are mounted to it. I noticed this especially when I switched from the Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8 to the Zeiss Milvus ZF 21mmf/2.8 that mounted on this body gave amazing results. So basically I recommend buying a used D700 with a few shots now that prices are low because I think in the future all in all a little far this camera could represent a must to have among collectors. Particular defects I have not found except in the Live View which is slow compared to the latest developments adopted on the latest cameras. I gave 10 in the vote to the D700 because there was no camera that more than this excited me for the precisely mentioned its most excellent quality: a Balance no longer found in any other body. Thank you for reading

Pros: Body Pro - intuitive - solid - excellent management for the era of low luc i- clean and light files in both Jpg and Nef and also in Tiff

Cons: Video sector that does not use dilutive Live view poor - few MPX in case of crop pushed. in the same era Canon with the 5D Mk II had a nearly double resolution.

Opinion: I've owned this body for about 3 years. Entered my possession in perfect condition with 84,000 shots by accident. the Canon 5D MK II I had purchased with a defect. Changed on par with the D700. Since then it has been total feeling. I own several newer Nikon bodies, but needless to say, this body is my favorite. It falls into the hand, intuitive solid, a reassuring shutter sound. It suffers a bit from the low lights, but it still shoots at 3200 iso with few interventions in pp. Light Files both Jpg and Nef also snaps in Tiff. All very workable. Few MPX is true but also for this large photodiodes with a very pleasant result reminiscent of analog in some cases. Very recommended. I met a photographer from Florence who never had a problem reached 900,000 shutter shots and it was still working. It has the pop-up flash (great in some cases). The pushed crops obviously do not make for her given the resolution not high, but very valid images even today. In 2019 I recommend to try it and in case you get excited as you did with me... good purchase. really cheap.

Pros: Weight, solidity, controls, "few mps", good ISO high hold

Cons: Weight, "few mp", 95% coverage, a single memory slot

Opinion: Purchased for two days to join my D7100. From the few tests I can only consider myself more than satisfied. Construction of the past and the weight suffers but a lot of solidity and excellent ergonomics with all the keys in the right place that allow you to never take your eyes off the viewfinder (fantastic with coverage only 95% to get used to). I put the few mps in both the pros and cons. On the one hand they allow you to work with old afd optics getting really good results and the "light" files do not stress the pc in pp. On the other hand you have little chance of cropped without expiring the quality. It holds up to 3200 ISO and beyond. No micromox problem (in my d7100 it is always lurking). For those who, like me, do not have great economic possibilities, I do not think there is anything more convenient for the transition to FF.... overconsiled!
