Pros: Efficient and quiet autofocus, sharpness, value for money

Cons: Considering the price and the category of which it is part, I would say none. In an absolute sense maybe those 4 mm on the wide angle that you sometimes miss.

Opinion: A beautiful lens, practical and multipurpose (and we would miss it, is a zoom 28-75 2.8..). In general very good image quality. What does not drive me crazy is the ring of manual fire, I would prefer that there was more step between this and the plastic of the barrel, it would certainly be more ergonomic, plus it is really "tight", otherwise it flows quite well. As for the AF, however, nothing really to criticize, it's really good, at least on a7iii. One flaw of my specimen(?) is that over time, the use of zooming (in practice a "vacuum cleaner effect" can bring in tiny grains of dust from the bayonet side that settle on the back of the 2nd front lens. I solved by dismantling the front lenses and cleaning them, but of course you have to be very careful especially if you are not familiar, in that case better to bring it into assistance. For this reason I recommend avoiding using the zoom dial if the lens does not have a rear cap or if it is not mounted on the machine.

Pros: Colors, bokeh on some focal points, light

Cons: Unpainted plastic prone to scratches, soft at the edges at 28mm. A little overprizzo. Very sharp but without excelling.

Opinion: Interesting optics if you do not want to weigh down the bag. Beautiful colors, emphasizes greens and yellows, the complexion is correct and pleasant. Overall the images are pleasant. I confirm that it is a good optics, it cost a little less for what it offers. I do not add anything else because on the internet everything has been said and the opposite of everything, between youtubbber and last-minute reviewers.

Pros: Image quality, focus, size

Cons: Constructive quality, price

Opinion: I'm going to go a little against the tide. Definitely attractive price for the characteristics of the optics, but the realization in terms of construction quality frankly is from the lens "cheap" and I am very sorry. Being used to the classic L Canon series armored cars, but also some Tamrons for DSLR, this lens looks like a cheap toy, paid for rather expensively. Everything that has impressed me negatively with regard to the construction, is instead repaid by the optical quality and autofocus, both very good. Autofocus fast and very quiet, so much so that it is recommended to be used also in the video field... Good image quality, sometimes very good, good rendering of colors and details, even at full opening says its, despite present a blurry 2.8 that sometimes does not convince me... I definitely want to recommend it, it's a great all-rounder's optics for those who don't want to faint. It has a minimal distance of interesting focus even for macro shots. It enjoys the usual Tamron warranty extension, which I consider a bonus not to be underestimated. Overall I promote it, waiting to evaluate its duration over time. Vote 9.

Pros: good sharpness in the middle of the frame, price

Cons: very poor sharpness at the edges, clutter, lampshade, poor resistance to reflections

Opinion: I was able to try this lens for a week on Sony A7RII. I was very disappointed especially for the poor quality of the edges, in the face of a sharpness in the center more than discreet. I do not agree with the enthusiastic reviews that are read here on the forum and I doubt that there is in the production there is a certain lack in quality controls I found feedback on my negative opinion in the review made by Photozone, where the optics did not go further a modest score of 2.5. https://www.opticallimits.com/sonyalphaff/1064-tamron2875f28e?start=1 If this is the case, it seems to me that it is possible to make a decent use only in the street, but certainly not in the landscape and in the filming of architecture.

Pros: Already good sharpness at 2.8, constant diaphragm at all focal points, chromatic yield, maf speed, reduced footprint, minimum distance maf

Cons: 28mm-2.8 vignette

Opinion: A large lens, sharper than the sony fe 24-70 f4, certainly the plastic construction leaves a little to be desired for the price paid, however the yield is exceptional. Nitido already at f2.8, improves by closing to f4, a f8 is a blade. Zoom 28-75 is not a big problem, some complain that those 4mm are missing, I think if a scene doesn't stand with 28mm it's probably not even with 24mm. The focus is very fast, maybe not as much as Sony's 24 70 2.8, but for this price range it's top and is compatible with all Sony autofocus modes (or at least it is on my Sony A7Rii) eye-af including , fast and accurate. The color rendering has something more than the other sony lenses, the colors are more vivid in general. The minimum distance for focus is really small, allowing you to shoot almost macros. Unfortunately it vignettes and not a little at 28mm 2.8, but it is easily corrected in post.
